Fiscal Responsibility

Bobby believes the government should stay within its Constitutional limitations and reduce the tax burden on Virginia families. Government should live within its means and balance the budget by cutting wasteful spending and expanding the tax base, not by increasing tax rates or adding new taxes to hard working families.

 

Valuing Education

As a former public-school teacher, Bobby understands the needs and challenges faced by students, teachers, and administrators. He is committed to providing opportunities for all children to receive an education in the manner that is best for each student. That is why he has supported flexibility for local school districts when using state funds, increased pay in the state budget for teachers who serve the next generation and expanded online educational opportunities for families to meet the needs of their children.

 

Protecting Gun Rights

As a lifelong gun owner, Bobby understands the need to protect our second amendment rights. He supports the rights of gun owners to carry concealed weapons legally. As a former certified Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries hunting safety instructor, Bobby understands the importance of teaching and promoting the safe handling of firearms and the importance of gun safety.

 

Protecting the Unborn

Bobby recognizes that there are two lives to be considered in establishing any abortion policy. He supports Governor Youngkin’s 15 week ban on abortion, with certain exceptions, which would make it illegal to abort a child when they are able to feel pain. Bobby opposes the current proposed Abortion Amendment that would make it legal to abort an unborn child up until the moment of birth in Virginia.

 

Protecting Women’s Sports

Bobby believes women should have the right to feel safe in locker rooms and have fair competition in athletics. He supports allowing only biologically born females to compete in women’s athletics so that all young women have the opportunity to compete to reach their highest potential on a fair playing field.

 

Health Care

As a volunteer Emergency Medical Service provider, Bobby understands the need to have access to quality health care. That is why he worked to bring down the ratio of health care providers to patients in nursing homes and has worked to reform our current laws that make it too difficult for health care providers to establish services in localities that need them.

 

Public Safety

Bobby supports the brave men and women who keep us safe. He believes our law enforcement officers make tremendous sacrifices to serve the public and should be supported through budgets that help them keep the community safe, not defunding the police.

 

Support for Veterans

The 66th district is home to many veterans who sacrificed to defend our country and Commonwealth. Bobby believes in honoring their sacrifice by easing the tax burden, providing essential services, and creating a safe environment for veterans who call District 66 their home. 

 

Energy

Bobby supports all energy production options that make energy affordable, sustainable, and able to meet our current and future energy needs. Richmond should explore all avenues that will generate sufficient energy with the least environmental impact, to ensure an affordable energy supply, now and in the future.

 

Moving Our Economy Forward

Bobby understands that the best thing government can do for the economy is get out of the way of innovation. That is why he has worked toward removing burdensome regulations which make it difficult for new businesses to get started and provide valuable jobs in the community. He understands that Virginians know how to better spend and invest their money than central planners in Richmond.
